LANE SCHOOL COMMUNITY SUMMER READING:
AMAZING FACES by Lee Bennett Hopkins
Read this wonderful collection of poems over the summer. Think about the many faces of our school, our community, and our culture. Which poem did you most connect with? Why? How did it make you feel? Would you say this poem was a mirror for you (a reflection of yourself) or a window (looking out at another part of the world)? Then access the Lane Library Bookworm Blog athttp://www.lanelibrarybookwormblog2.blogspot.com/ to respond to the SUMMER READING/AMAZING FACES post questions by adding a comment (directions are on the blog and on the Lane School Library site:. Optional activities are included…try some out and have fun creating a clay version of your own amazing face!
Books are available at the Lane School office and your local public libraries. In September, responses will be shared and the Lane School Community will be conducting various activities and discussions surrounding this book. Enjoy!!!
Have a wonderful summer,
