My 2 kids completed the survey. Both said they wanted to study Chinese in addition to the languages they are already studying (French and Spanish).

They answered as they wished, without their sibling in the room.

When to start studying Chinese? One is at Lane, so he said “grade 3-5.” The other is at the high school, so she said “high school.” IOW, as soon as possible.

To meet the challenges of the global economy, are foreign language immersion programs being considered?

Good question about foreign immersion programs. As of now I have not heard of any plans, but in an ideal world it would make sense.

I’ve looked at a few articles about the French immersion program that are posted on Google by entering “Milton French immersion program.”

    According to what I read:
    - It costs the same to teach kids in either French or English (after initial setup).
    - Parents choose to send their kids to either program.
    - There are many benefits!

Milton has been doing this for 20 years. Maybe we should start talking with them and see what we can learn?
